When will the Project be built?
Before the Project can be built, we must first complete the Alternative Corridor Evaluation process and identify a Recommended Alternative, which must be approved by the Board of County Commissioners. Only upon approval will the Project's next steps (Design Phase and right-of-way acquisition) be completed. The Design Phase is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2021. 

Why is this Project being studied?
This Project is being studied to consider roadway system continuity,, provide additional multimodal options, and maintain consistency with the Lake/Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan.
